Preamble (from the conference bylaws)

The members of this League have joined together to mutually support the highest standards of athletic competition and student interaction.  We believe that the primary purpose of our institutions is to support the academic and personal growth of our students.  Therefore, our League places the highest emphasis on sportsmanship, mutual respect and adherence to fair play.  Each school is pledged to support the others in their efforts to sustain these goals.  Each school also commits itself to an admissions process, which does not give undue emphasis to athletic skills or provide athletic scholarships.  Thus, athletic achievement is put in its proper role in the overall academic focus of the school and this League, as a whole, expects that each school will avoid any recruiting that would undermine these standards.

Sportsmanship Code of Conduct (from the conference bylaws)

During the regular season, we are only going to allow 6 players to play in the matches.  If there are extra tee times available, then the other players can play, but otherwise we will limit the matches to six players. The host school will be determined on a rotating basis.

C.  Scoring – each school may enter six golfers.  One person is responsible for scoring one other person in the foursome.  At the end of the round, the Athletic Director in charge of sport must review the card with the foursome before the players sign their card.  The four golfers with the lowest scores for each school will be scored.  Add the strokes for the four golfers for the team result.  If there is a tie for the Championship:  a tie breaking procedure will be used.

The teams tied for the Championship will play an additional three holes with their top six golfers; score the top four and add their strokes.  If there is still a tie, then the score of the fifth best golfer will be counted; if there is still a tie, follow the same procedure with the sixth golfer.  If the results are still tied, then go to the first handicapped hole and the top four scores for each school involved.  If still tied, then go to the second handicapped hole etc…

If a playoff is unable to be played due to weather, darkness, our course closing; add the scores of the top four golfers from the first handicapped hole from each school to determine a champion.  If still tied, find the second handicapped hole and follow the same procedure until a champion has been declared.

Eighteen holes must be completed to count as an official tournament.  In case of postponement due to weather or darkness, the tournament will resume from the point of suspension.
